Totó is a speech therapy app for kids, designed to practice phonemes in a fun and engaging way. The goal is to involve parents and caregivers in the treatment process by providing activities they can do together.
I was responsible for the entire UI, design, and interface. In addition to applying my design skills, I learned a lot about speech therapy and how to create educational games. Our research showed that parental involvement is crucial for children's development, so we designed the app to encourage this participation.
The app uses voice recognition and artificial intelligence to detect phoneme accuracy, enabling progress tracking. It offers two modes: a board game mode with facial, body warm-ups, and phoneme mini-games, and a second mode focused exclusively on phoneme mini-games.
My final project for my design degree was this redesign, where I focused on creating a more gamified experience and approach to learning. This project gave me the opportunity to explore speech therapy and develop an innovative educational solution.
